Incommunities has an Equality and Diversity Policy and Strategy endorsed by our Board. Our policy contains our overall commitments on equality and diversity and our strategy tells you what our priorities are from 2008-2011.
Equality and Diversity issues are very important to Incommunities because we want to make sure that the services we provide are flexible enough to adapt to the different needs that our customers have.
Our customers may have different needs depending on their:
• age
• ethnic background
• gender
• religion
• sexual orientation, or
• disability status
All of these things may affect how and when our customers can access our services or whether they are able to take part in what’s going on in our communities.
Incommunities will mainstream equality and diversity in everything we do and will look at our performance in all of our services to see if it is more difficult for some groups to access our services or if some groups are more or less satisfied than others with the services they have received.
