Local people have a great opportunity to buy a smart new home in the Aire-Wharfe area as part of Incommunities’ latest affordable homes release.

Nineteen family homes have now been released under the housing group’s shared ownership scheme. This enables purchasers to part own their home and pay a discounted rent on the remaining share.

The new houses are available at:-
• Damems Lane, Keighley – 12 two and three-bedroom homes
• Dellside Gardens, Cullingworth – 3 two-bedroom homes plus four more homes for rent.
• Norwood Avenue, Burley-in-Wharfedale – 4 two-bedroom apartments.

These new homes benefit from a range of modern features and all have allocated parking or a separate driveway.

The first of eight shared ownership family homes at Mayfield Rise in Wyke are also now available for shared ownership. Another nine homes being built will be available for rent. More shared ownership homes are under construction in Bierley and at The Lawn in Burley-in-Wharfedale.

The developments are being supported by Housing Corporation grants and funding from Incommunities. Over 350 affordable homes are being built by the housing group over the next two years.

Jez Lester, Incommunities’ Assistant Chief Executive, asset management said: “We are proud to be releasing our first high quality family-sized properties in Keighley for the benefit of local home-hunters.

“These 19 affordable homes in the Aire-Wharfe area are being offered as shared-ownership to give buyers the opportunity to get on the property ladder and take a stake in their own home. The new releases will provide a welcome boost for the local housing market especially during these tough economic times.”
