Incommunities tenants are being given the chance to snap up a free energy saving device in a partnership with eaga – a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions - and the government.
Every Incommunities household (22,000 homes) are this week being sent information on how to claim a free ShowerSmart from eaga which offers savings on both gas and metered water bills.
The product fits onto non-electric showers and works by regulating the water flow coming from the mains water supply.
The offer is part of the government’s commitment to help reduce household energy usage.
Jo Lewis, Incommunities Energy Saving Officer, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with eaga to give our customers the opportunity to receive this energy saving product free of charge.
“Once fitted the ShowerSmart will help tenants with non-electric showers to cut their fuel bills, use less water and also reduce their carbon footprint.
“As the area’s biggest social housing landlord we are committed to helping our customers make those all important energy savings in the home.”
This free offer comes ‘hot on the heels’ of the recent giveaway of long life energy saving light bulbs to every Incommunities household in a partnership between the housing group, eaga, EDF Energy and the Homes and Communities Agency.
