Enthusiastic young basketball players living in Incommunities homes are being offered a great deal on places at a summer sports camp.
Bradford Eurocamp is one of the biggest annual basketball events in the North of England.
The five-day camp has been organised by Bradford Dragons and takes place at Bradford College’s Trinity Green sports campus between Monday, 23rd July and Friday, 27th July.
It runs daily from 9.00am to 5.30pm and will bring some of Europe’s top coaches to the city.
Thanks to funding from Incommunities Foundation Ltd – the housing group’s charitable arm – young Incommunities tenants can book their place at Bradford Eurocamp for just £40. That’s a big saving of £139 on the normal price of £179 for a non residential place!
The camp is open to all young people aged 10 to 18 years old who live in the district.
Stuart Culliford from Bradford Dragons said: “This basketball camp is a great opportunity for young people to learn from some of the best coaches in the game – whether they are new to the sport or more experienced players looking to improve their game.
“There’s a real buzz around the sport in the countdown to the London Olympics and it’s great to receive the support of Incommunities Foundation. Their backing will give more young people the opportunity to develop their skills and you never know, we could find an Olympic star of the future!”
Lynda Harrison, Chair of the Incommunities Foundation Board said: “This popular annual basketball camp is a terrific opportunity for young people to make the most of their summer holidays.
“Incommunities Foundation is delighted to team up with the organisers to offer young tenants the chance to develop their sporting skills and also meet new friends. This is another example of how, through sport, the Foundation is ‘Improving lives Incommunities’.”
