Homes and Neighbourhoods
In order to find you the perfect home we work closely with you to match you with a property in your chosen area which is an affordable and sustainable option.
To start this process please get in touch with our team and fill in an application. We will them discuss with you the availability of properties. If none are currently available we will advise you on how likely it is that a property will become available and in what timescales.
We have a wide variety of properties available across the Bradford District, which is regularly updated. For more information on our neighbourhoods please select one of our districts.
Are you looking for a home in the Bradford Metropolitan District, including Shipley, Keighley, Addingham and Ilkley?
To apply for rented housing in the Bradford Metropolitan District you will need to register online on the BradfordHomes website - www.bradfordhomes.org.uk. From this website you can join the list for all housing association and privately rented properties in the area, place bids on properties through the Property Shop and manage your application online.
If you don’t have access to a computer you can still register using a smart mobile phone or tablet device or use a computer at your local library.
Are you looking for a home in the Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield, or the Wakefield areas?
We have nomination agreements with each of the councils in Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield, and Wakefield. As a result of these agreements, we have agreed to accept nominations from those councils for between 50 to 75% of our vacant properties in their district.
Each local authority operates different approaches to allocating properties, including those owned and managed by Incommunities - for details of how to apply for housing in these areas please click on the appropriate local authority link below;
You will need to register with the council for the area in which you are seeking housing. If you are looking for housing in more than one local authority area, you must register with each council separately - you can register in more than one area.
All the above councils advertise properties that we may have vacant in their area from time to time, along with those of other social housing providers and homes available to rent privately: so, registering will increase your housing options.
The instructions for how to register and apply for housing are detailed on each council’s website – you will need to provide your national insurance number along with details about yourself and, if other people will be living with you, your household details.
For Kirklees, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield, and Wakefield, in addition to taking nominations from those councils, we also maintain our own waiting lists of applicants in housing need. However, these lists are temporarily closed to new applicants. We will be reviewing whether to reopen the waiting lists in May 2022, so please check for updates after 1 June 2022. In the meantime, existing applicants already registered on the list are not affected and will still be considered for offers of housing should a suitable vacancy arise.
