Standing Order

A standing order is similar to a Direct Debit but it is set up by yourself via your own bank. You can download and fill in a standing order form here for you to take to your bank.

Barclays Bank PLC

Account Number: 80498890

Sort Code: 20-12-12

Also include your tenancy reference number, the amount you wish to pay and the frequency of payment. Remember if you are not paying weekly you need to make arrangements to pay upfront.

Finally do not forget to tell us that you  have told us you have set up a standing order. Email us at telling how much you will be paying and how often. By doing this it will stop us from making unnecessary contact with you.

Bank Transfer/Direct Payment

What happens when your rent falls into arrears?

As soon as your account falls into arrears we will contact you to find out why and try to help. However, we do have a range of options open to us for anyone continuously failing to pay their rent. These include taking arrears direct from benefit payments or even taking the matter to court.

Rent payment calendar

You can download a useful rent payment calendar to check when your rent is due -  Incommunities-Rent-Payment-Calendar-2021-2022

Some customers have four weeks each year when rent is not due if your account is not in debt. Please check your tenancy agreement to confirm if this calendar applies to you. If it does not or your account is not clear you must continue to pay your rent.

If you are having difficulty paying your rent please contact the Income Team on 0330 175 9540

There are a number of ways we can help – we can agree a payment plan with you, help you look into any benefits you may be entitled to or put you in touch with local organisations who can give you free financial advice.
