Join the Equity Networks

Listening, learning and making change together.

Safe, welcoming spaces where you can share your experiences and help improve services.

The three networks are:

The different Equity Networks

What are Equity Networks?

These networks are yours. They're led by you, for you.

They're a chance for you to meet people with similar experiences who are also Incommunities customers. You can talk about the things that matter to you, and you can join more than one network if that feels right.

  • You choose how often you meet and where, online or in person.

  • You choose the topics you want to focus on. It doesn't have to just be about our services; you can talk about wider community issues too.

  • You tell us what training or support you'd like from us.

What is the purpose of the Equity Networks?

What is the purpose of the Equity Networks?

Through the Equity Networks, we want to make sure every customer has the chance for their voice to be heard and reflected in the work we do.

We want to:

  • Listen and act on the things that matter to you
  • Provide safe, inclusive spaces where you feel you belong
  • Improve our services so they meet everyone's needs
  • Help you build connections and friendships

Supported by Equity Champions

Each of the equity networks is supported by an equity champion who will help lead the group and make sure everyone gets a chance to speak.

They'll make sure that everyone in the networks feel listened to, included, and respected.

Jess

LGBTQ+ Inclusion Network Champion

My name is Jess, and I live in Bradford as a tenant with Incommunities. I'm a former chef and now work as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities.

As part of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly around my transgender identity, I use he or she pronouns. I wanted to become an Equity Champion to help other tenants have a voice, and I hope to set up local LGBTQ+ meetups in the future.

Manik

Race and Culture Champion

I've lived in Ravenscliffe for over 40 years and have seen how the community has changed, including the move from Bradford Council to Incommunities. Growing up mixed race shaped my perspective and resilience.

My experience working with Bradford Jobcentre built my understanding of equality, safeguarding and advocacy.

I'm passionate about customer experience and want to represent residents' voices, raising issues that matter and helping others feel heard and informed.

Adele

Disability Inclusion Network Champion

My name is Adele and I will be leading the disability network. I wanted to become an equity champion because I want to make positive changes for the community.

I have autism, asthma, brittle bones disease, depression and anxiety. As an Equity Champion I'm most looking forward to meeting new people and I want people to feel valued and listened to and their opinions do matter.
