Our Executive Team
Our executive team bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and a shared commitment to Incommunities. Below, you'll find brief summaries of each team member's background and role within the company.
Rachael Dennis - Chief Executive
Rachael is our Chief Executive and has been in post since February 2021.
With over 20 years of senior experience in social housing, Rachael has a background in strategic leadership, delivering change and business improvement, strategic finance and governance. During her career, she has held several non-executive roles in housing, the NHS and arts charities.
Rachael brings a wealth of financial expertise, a passion for social housing and a determination to ensure that Incommunities is a financially strong and well-governed organisation.
Graeme Scott - Executive Director of Development and Assets
Graeme is our Executive Director of Development and Assets and has been in post since April 2022.
Graeme leads on all matters related to customers homes within the organisation. This includes our day to day repairs service , our strategic investment plans for our homes and communities and our ambitions to deliver new social and affordable housing in the region. Graeme has a wealth of experience in delivering developments and developing effective relationships with key partners, stock rationalisation and acquisition. He is passionate about creating places where people choose to live, whilst offering high-quality customer service.
Sara Sheard - Executive Director of Business Operations
Sara is our Executive Director of Business Operations and has been in post since November 2021.
Sara’s focus is on Governance, Legal, Risk, Strategic Change, ICT and digital transformation, Marketing & Communications, People Support and People Experience.
Sara has extensive experience in strategic human resources and culture change with a wealth of experience in people and organisational change leadership across a variety of sectors including charity, manufacturing and finance. Her expertise and personal values lie in a people-centred approach to leadership.
Janey Carey - Executive Director of Customer and Communities
Janey is our Executive Director of Customer and Communities and has been in post since September 2022.
Janey’s extensive skills and expertise lie in transforming strategic and operational housing services and she has led the development and implementation of Customer Centric strategies across a number of Housing organisations.
Janey is passionate about involving customers and ensuring that our customers receive the highest of standards in every interaction with us.
John Wright - Executive Director of Finance
John is our Executive Director of Finance and has been in post since August 2023.
With more than 20 years of experience in senior positions within the housing sector, John has extensive experience in finance, governance, and change management and is passionate about building thriving communities.
John is a Board Member and Audit and Risk Committee Member at Ongo Homes, and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
