Join us for our Days of Action and help clean up local communities
Fly tipping, litter and overgrown spaces can affect how people feel about where they live. They can make streets feel uncared for and take pride away from a neighbourhood.
Our Days of Action are a chance for us all to come together, take action and show that our communities matter.
Our colleagues, residents and partners will work side by side to:
- tackle fly tipping
- pick up litter
- tidy gardens and streets
- cut back overgrown bushes and trees
- clear snickets
- paint railings
- share advice on recycling and food waste.
You do not need any special skills or equipment. Just come along, meet the team and give as much time as you can.
Even 10 minutes can make a difference.
The first Day of Action will take place on Friday 24 July, from 10am to 1pm, in Woodhouse, Keighley.

Patrick Collins, our Director of Communities, said:
“We all want to live in places that feel clean, safe and cared for. Our Days of Action are a chance for people to come together and make that happen.
“Fly tipping and litter affect so many people. They can make people feel frustrated, unheard and less proud of where they live. But when residents, partners and our teams work together, we can help turn that around.
“You do not need to stay for the whole event. If you can spare 10 or 15 minutes, we would love to see you. Every bag of litter collected, every garden tidied and every conversation helps make the area better for everyone.”
