Tree Survey starting in March 2024

Over the next few months we’ll be carrying out a survey of all the trees on our land. 

Trees can pose significant hazards if left unchecked. Dead branches, weaknesses, and disease can lead to branches and trees falling, damaging property and injuring people. 

Shipley's new orchard sows seeds of community spirit

The desire to do something different with an area of grassland in Shipley has led to the community coming together to plant a new fruit tree orchard. 

A group of residents from the Wycliffe Neighbourhood Association asked the people of Shipley what they would like to happen on the hilly grassed area near Wycliffe Road and Moorhead View.

Incommunities supports 16 Days of Action

Saturday marks the beginning 16 Days of Action against gender-based violence. 

The 16 Days of Action is an annual campaign, this year it runs from November 25th to 10th December. The campaign brings together organisations and individuals worldwide to raise awareness and take action against gender-based violence. 

Update on York House, 13th November 2023

In July 2022 we wrote to all residents of York House to share results of the customer consultation about the future of the building. The result was that the building was to be decommissioned (residents moved to new homes, and the building emptied).

Affordable homes to be built on site of former flats at Valley Road, Shipley

There is good news for people in Bradford who are trying to get a step on the housing ladder, as we begin clearing the way for the construction of 42 new affordable homes on the site of former flats at Valley Road. 

Following the site clearance, Casey Construction will begin building the new homes over the next few weeks, with construction expected to be complete in summer 2024.  

Bonfires – keeping you safe

Bonfires can be extremely dangerous when they are not managed properly. They can also lead to ASB issues and be a nuisance for many neighbourhoods. 

As you would imagine, we receive the most complaints about bonfires around the time of bonfire night, but there are also issues throughout the winter season.
