Standing together for kindness, respect and belonging

This week, as part of Hate Crime Awareness Week, we're coming together along with our Housing Partners across West Yorkshire to say one simple thing: hate has no home here.

We know that, across the country, more people have been experiencing racism and hostility, leaving many feeling uneasy in their own communities. Unfortunately, this unease is being felt here in West Yorkshire too.

But our region is built on community. On people looking out for each other, standing up for what's right, and welcoming others in. That's something we're proud of and something we all have a part in protecting.

At the West Yorkshire Housing Partnership, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and valued in their home and neighbourhood. Whether you're a customer, a neighbour or a colleague, we all share the same responsibility: to be kind, fair and respectful.

We're working with local partners and community groups to make sure any incidents of hate or discrimination are dealt with quickly and seriously. If you see or experience something that isn't right, please speak up.

West Yorkshire's strength lies in its diversity. Let's keep showing that by standing together, celebrating our differences and making sure everyone feels that they truly belong.
