Between March 2025 and April 2026, we invested £8.3 million to make our homes warmer, more energy efficient and better for the future. This investment supports our aim to cut carbon, lower energy use and help customers feel more comfortable at home. Many customers now use less energy to heat and power their homes. On average households can save £200 to £500 on energy each year.

Working with Equans and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, we've helped make 27 older homes in Odsal warmer, more comfortable and cheaper to run. By taking the time to work closely with customers throughout the project, we adapted around individual needs and reduced disruption wherever possible.
Improvements included insulation, new windows and doors, better ventilation and smart heating controls, helping residents save around £900 a year on energy bills.
Customer Abdullah Khatib said his home now feels “much cosier” and praised the team for being understanding and supportive during Ramadan. The project shows how partnership working and listening to customers can make a real difference to people's homes and wellbeing.
When someone moves into one of our homes, it's now painted and carpeted throughout. This is a big investment in both our homes and our customers' comfort.
New tenants also receive a starter pack with cleaning products, toilet roll, a small toolkit for simple repairs, and other essentials to help them settle in.
