Proudly supporting the Bradford Showcase

Proudly supporting the Bradford Showcase

As an organisation invested in the district, we’re proud to be an anchor sponsor of the Bradford Showcase alongside this year’s UKREiiF. We’re here to tell the positive stories of Bradford in this important year as City of Culture, alongside the local authority and other event sponsors.

We’re an organisation born in Bradford, and have grown alongside the city, managing more than 22,000 homes across Yorkshire – with around 18,000 in Bradford.

We’re not only Bradford’s biggest housing association, but a true anchor institution in the region. A responsibility we take seriously.

We believe in community collaboration, working closely with residents, local authorities, and partners to shape developments that truly meet local needs. And we are absolutely committed to quality housing – not just in the new homes we build, but in every home we touch.

To truly support Bradford’s sustainable growth, we must take a holistic approach to housing. This means investing in quality homes, both new and old – building where we need and improving what we already have.

City Village

Bradford City Village aims to create a sustainable new residential neighbourhood in the heart of Bradford’s city centre.

City Village has been billed as Bradford’s most ambitious regeneration initiative since the 1970s. It will take an area that once thrived with retail and commerce and breathe new life into it as a vibrant place to live, work, and play.

Incommunities has been selected as ECF’s preferred funding partner to deliver the first phase of townhouses at Bradford City Village. Terms have been agreed and we are currently progressing legal agreements ahead of a planning application being submitted in early August.

The scheme will deliver around 1,000 high-quality, environmentally friendly new homes right in the city centre.  But City Village isn’t just about housing.

Alongside those homes, the plan brings:

  • New public green spaces and parks – giving city-centre residents places to relax and children to play.

  • Safer, pedestrian-friendly streets – by rerouting traffic and creating walkable connections, it will knit the city together in a more human way.

  • Revitalised shops and leisure – incorporating independent retail, cafes, restaurants, and leisure opportunities to complement the existing businesses.

  • Modern workspaces and offices – ensuring that as people move in, jobs and innovation move in too.

City Village is a partnership effort. Bradford Council, Incommunities, and the English Cities Fund (ECF) through Muse Developments are all collaborating to make it happen. It exemplifies the kind of public-private partnership that can unlock truly transformational projects.
